Product Description
St. Dominic's mother had visions that her child would bring light to a dark world. He would found the Dominican order, which greatly improved knowledge of theology in the Church and among the laity. St. Dominic is the patron saint of book sellers and scientists.
St. Dominic and his followers so zealously preached the Gospel that they were given the name “Hounds of the Lord.” That is why St. Dominic is so often pictured with a dog carrying a scroll or a torch at his side, and why a dog is depicted on the reverse of this medal.
About 1.5 inches long.
This lead-free pewter medal is hand made.
