St. Andrew the Apostle took the Gospel to Scotland where he was martyred by crucifixion on what has become known as the "X" shaped "St. Andrew's Cross." The figure of St. Andrew's Cross in enshrined on the flag of Scotland. He is patron of one of Scotland's national sports, golf, as well as patron of golfers. He holds in one hand St. Andrew's Cathedral, and in the other and stick used as early golf clubs. Approximately 8 x 2.5 inches.
