Product Description
A Hodegetria is an icon depicting the Virgin Mary holding the Child Jesus at her side while pointing to him as the source of salvation for humankind. The Virgin's bends towards the child, who raises his hand in a blessing gesture. In the Western Church this type of icon is sometimes called Our Lady of the Way. The Pantocrator is Christ the King of the Universe. These two icons are joined and together measure 3-7/8 x 2 3/4-inches.
